This month Microsoft launched Office 365 E1 Plus. This new subscription builds on the existing Office 365 E1 by adding better security and compliance features. These include Entra ID Premium Plan 1 for identity and conditional access, Intune for managing devices, and Office 365 Data Loss Prevention.
This plan is aimed at customers in Latin America, India, ASEAN (excluding Singapore), and some markets in Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. It costs $20 per user per month with Teams, and $17.75 without Teams, on an annual subscription. There’s a 30% discount for new customers who buy between September 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, for annual subscriptions of 100 to 2,400 licenses.
Office 365 E1 Plus is a great option for many organizations, especially those that are budget-conscious and have basic productivity needs. Small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and non-profit organizations will find this plan very appealing because it’s cost-effective. It’s also perfect for companies currently using on-premises solutions or third-party productivity tools who want to move to a cloud-based environment with standardized security features.

For organizations that prioritize security, Office 365 E1 Plus offers built-in controls to protect sensitive information and manage user identities and devices. This makes it a solid choice for firms looking to implement zero-trust security principles. Large enterprises with over 300 users can also benefit from this plan, as it provides a competitively priced entry-level solution that balances productivity and security. Overall, Office 365 E1 Plus is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of companies, offering a robust set of features at an attractive price.
